My name is Sara Winchester. I was born in Gosford and I lived in
numerous countries when I was a young child, before returning to
Australia when I was nine. I went to high school in Canberra and I did
my undergraduate degree in Human Movement (Science) at the University
of Wollongong. I travelled around the world for a year after my
undergraduate degree and then completed my Masters of Chiropractic at
Macquarie University graduating in 2000. I have a son who is an absolute joy in my life. I
love to exercise, do yoga, travel, communicate and inspire others. I
was originally led to work with the body because of my admiration for
the human body and its physical capabilities during my years as an
elite gymnast. My cousin inspired me to become a chiropractor by
teaching me about the body and by allowing me to observe him working in
his practice in Port Augusta when I was in year nine at school. It was
the amazing speed of progression and healing that I witnessed in
patients during this time that really made me want to be a part of the
profession.
